Replica of Colossal Olmec head #8 is considered the most naturalistic of the 17 replicas. Sitting outside of the Field Museum, the 1700 pound stone replica by Ignacio Perez Solano is representative of one of the first cultures in American history, the Olmec culture. Each head conveys a different leader from the culture, most of which are from San Lorenzo.
